The TicketBust Mission

Our mission is simple; to make it simple for people to fight a traffic ticket without wasting resources like time going to court or money for expensive attorney fees.  Our goal is to allow users to easily prepare a defense in 3 steps: 1) take a picture of their California traffic ticket, 2) upload an image of their driver’s license, and 3) Answer a few questions related to the ticket. That allows us to do all of the heavy lifting for CA drivers with citations through the TicketBust system, resulting in a thorough and timely defense package, including a fully completed Trial by Written Declaration document.

A Message from Our Founder

Over 18 years ago, my brother received a traffic ticket and didn’t know what to do about it.  We thought the only option was to either pay the traffic ticket, go to traffic school, or hire an expensive attorney to go to court and fight the ticket for him. Then, we did what most people don’t think to do. We turned over the ticket and read the fine print– who does that?  Well, we found a loophole that most people who receive a traffic ticket overlook. You can fight a traffic ticket in writing without going to court. So, we gave it a try!

The first thing we did was research to see if there were any businesses that could help us properly complete a Trial by Written Declaration and all of the corresponding defense documents required to submit it to the court. We couldn’t believe that no businesses existed that had the capability of helping people to do this without high attorney prices.

Realizing we were on our own, it became our mission to become experts on the process known as the Trial by Written Declaration.  Initially, we had no idea what to say or do.  We spent countless hours researching and writing the defense documents. It quickly became clear that there must be an easier way for an average driver to fight a ticket using this process.

After spending more time than anyone with a traffic ticket should ever have to, the initial ticket was dismissed and we started to recreate the research process for each ticket type. Once we saw ticket after ticket begin to get dismissed and we simplified the process, our proprietary research and delivery mechanism, now known as TicketBust, was born!

Ticketbust makes it easy to fight most California traffic tickets. This includes: speeding tickets, red light tickets, carpool tickets, cellphone tickets, stop sign tickets, and more. Our experience getting tickets dismissed is every California driver’s #1 asset in helping fight the ticket.

Questions About Our Process?

We’ve tried to make everything as simple as possible for those looking to avoid points on their record. But, this is a complex process and we understand if you’re still not sure if it’s the right move for you. The most important thing to consider is that EVEN IF YOU LOSE a trial by written declaration, you can still fight it in court or through driving school. So, why not give yourself the extra opportunity?
